INTELLECTUAL

The academic performance and the intellectual evolution of our students are central to our mission. Our school encourages intellectual development with methodology informed by the 'Multiple Intelligences' theory, coined by Howard Gardner. We understand that every student possesses a unique combination of interests and skills that require personalised attention from our educators, who aim to cultivate their full potential. Additionally, the intellectual pillar represents our understanding of how a differentiated approach to learning affects the employment of multilingualism at our school and has led to the exploration of effective teaching methods. As a result, our teaching staff deliver cutting-edge concepts in an accessible way during all lessons, including robotics and programming in STEAM subjects.

Social

The interaction between our students plays a vital role in their personal and emotional development. Inter-personal interactions occur in multiple school settings, including in the classroom and outdoors during sports and extra-curricular activities. The function of the social pillar is to acknowledge and encourage projects and opportunities that promote cooperation, happiness, and teamwork. During their time at La Miranda, students will learn to hone their mediation, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills to cultivate a harmonious school environment and learn strategies that will benefit them in adulthood.

Emotional

We believe in supporting the emotional well-being of our students by helping students across all divisions to recognise and regulate their emotions through age-appropriate methods. We incorporate mime, mindfulness practices, and the teaching of core values into our educational practices to foster the philosophy of the three E's: Esteem, Enthusiasm, and Example.

Physical

The health and well-being of our students is our priority, and it is, therefore, a crucial component of the physical pillar. We aim to provide a fun and varied sports programme to encourage interest in physical activity and active learning. Pupils maintain their mental and physical health with access to engaging physical education lessons in modern facilities and varied extra-curricular class options. Furthermore, in a commitment to providing good nutrition, all student meals are freshly prepared on-site and form a menu with an organic selection of ingredients.
