1. What are the school opening hours?


The school operates from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please contact the school for the timetable for extra-curricular activities.

2. What international curriculums are taught at the school?


As of the 2021-2022 academic year, La Miranda, the Global Quality School, is an official IB school. We are authorised to teach the International Baccalaureate curriculums, which are delivered in Spanish and English. The IB course offers a specially-designed curriculum for all students who wish to develop their abilities to the highest level. We are authorised to deliver the Middle Years Programme (MYP) to students aged 11 to 16, and the Diploma Programme (DP) to students aged 16 to 18.

3. What other curriculums are offered by the school?


Students aged 16+ can opt to study for the Dual Diploma, an official IB degree validation programme, created and developed by Academica Corporation. This curriculum pathway allows students to obtain 2 simultaneous qualifications: the Community Diploma and the American High School Diploma.

La Miranda also offers the Spanish National Baccalaureate to learners aged 16 to 18, which offers a more focused course programme in Science and Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences, or The Arts.

4. Are school lunches provided?


School lunches are offered daily and are included in the school fees. 
The school has an on-campus kitchen and dining service, with menu plans specially designed for each age range. Children that have food intolerances and allergies may also be catered for. Please contact your child's teacher or the Admissions Service for further information.

5. What languages are taught at the school?


At La Miranda, we believe that celebrating cultural diversity and incorporating multilingualism are the first steps towards achieving academic excellence in global education.

We have a solid multilingual programme comprised of three main languages and four secondary languages. Our primary language programme features: Catalan, Spanish, and English, while our secondary language programme features: French, Mandarin Chinese, German, and Russian.

6. How is technology integrated into the educational programmes at the school?


We have integrated technology throughout the educational framework at La Miranda from the Nursery School, to the Baccalaureate division. Students enjoy using and designing computer programmes, to create mechanisms and instruments, and use three-dimensional games to enhance their learning. La Miranda has been recognised by Apple as a Distinguished School for continuous innovation in learning, teaching, and the school environment.

Our centre is a pioneer in the innovative use of technology in teaching, learning and the educational environment and can demonstrate a high level of academic excellence in modern technology.

7. What sports activities are available?


Our school campus features bespoke, state-of-the-art sports facilities, including a gymnasium and a basketball court. All students are encouraged to participate in sporting activities, which may include, football, basketball, swimming, and gymnastics.

8. How well do new international pupils adapt to the school?


Pupils at La Miranda are friendly and welcoming. As a diverse school community with families from across the world, our learners are accustomed to welcoming new students every year.

9. How do I begin applying for a place for my child?

11. Do you have a school uniform at La Miranda?


At La Miranda, we expect all children to wear a school uniform, unless exempt by year group. By wearing a uniform, we aim to facilitate equality, a sense of identity, and a feeling of belonging in our student community. Uniforms also help families encourage the values of discipline and personal responsibility in young children. In High School, it is mandatory to dress appropriately for the learning environment.

12. Do you have a Summer programme?


La Miranda offers a yearly Summer Camp. Camp participants gain new skills, try a range of exciting activities, and learn with others in a fun and dynamic setting.
